I remember as a small child, a couple of times a week my mother would leave work and drop me off at my grandmother’s. Volunteering was her second job. Growing up in this environment, I realized the impact that a gesture; no matter how small could have on someone’s life.
I realized that my purpose here had a deeper meaning. I have always been an empath and believed in the power of touch. It seemed natural that I would let go of the conventional by pursuing an education and ultimately, a career in Massage Therapy.
After being a caregiver for my mother, who was stricken with Alzheimer’s, I became exhausted and depleted. In the midst of that, I became rejuvenated and decided it was time to do something that could impact the community in an amazing way.
Westside Massage is about giving back and reaching others through touch, a listening ear, and a smiling face. It is a safe place to escape and get pain relief, energy or just a relaxing massage. It is about treating others with respect and dignity. It is also about being stewards in our community and doing the right thing. It is about more than massage and healing, it is about a woman that instilled in me to always do my part to assist those that are not as fortunate as myself.

John L. Shipman

Licensed Medical/Manual Therapist
Reiki 1 & 2 Practitioner

I grew up in Warsaw, IN. From an early age I have had a gift for healing others. Friends as well as strangers would always come to me seeking guidance or just a shoulder to cry on. I also realized through painting, drawing as well as cooking that my hands were also a gift. My mother is a nurse and growing up I would stay up late to massage her tired feet.
I was moved and driven to follow a path that would allow me to heal others, so massage became my passion. Together we can get your body onto the path of least resistance toward healing. I believe myself to be a very intuitive healer, and will always create and implement a treatment plan that will assist your body in healing itself. I am always in the process of continuing my education. My goal is to become a Holistic Practitioner. Without community, we have nothing! Therefore, my personal commitment is to serve our community! I am happy to help you on your journey of healing!

Licensed Massage Therapist

I started massage in 2008. I was drawn to the healing arts because my mother was in pain that was not able to be diagnosed and I felt helpless, I knew I needed to find a way to help her. The desire to help my family and others in pain lead me to attend massage therapy school and excel in many modalities. I knew massage/healing was the right direction as I became drawn to helping people with mobility issues, chronic pain and limited range of motion. Treating every client with respect and dignity is essential. I will listen and respond effectively to your needs. I also have a huge desire to serve the community! It is important to me to be able to reach people and help them.
I previously attended Kendall School of Art and Design for Graphic Arts. I love to play the guitar, knit, as well as make jewelry. I am looking forward to giving you relief as well as a relaxing experience!

Pam Krzysik

Licensed Massage Therapist

I have been a practicing massage therapist for 9 years and remain passionate about what I do as well as my clients everyday! My goal is for every client to be relaxed, calm and feeling better. Believing that treatment does have to be painful to be effective, I focus on relaxing treatment methods. Your care and comfort come first! I take an informed, evidence-based approach, to ensure that your treatments are well-rounded and functional. I can assist you in relieving stress, focus on areas of chronic pain and create better flexibility through stretching. I am not afraid to “go deep” if that is your desire!
A strong sense of community is important to me. I feel it is part of my obligation to get involved and identify where I can make a difference! It would be a privilege to assist you in healing and stress relief!

Victoria Crouse

Licensed Massage Therapist

I started this journey of massage because I love helping people feel better through the healing power of touch. I grew up in Michigan and moved to Hawaii for a few years in my early 20’s. It was there that I experienced the beginnings of being drawn to massage. I believe that there is definite healing power in the gift of touch, I plan to use these gifts to deliver the best care to my clients. It is important to me that all of my clients are treated as individuals and their specific needs are met, which will enrich their lives. I am committed to reaching out to the community and being able to make a difference in peoples lives through massage. I love meeting and connecting with new people. I love a huge variety of music, and anything related to art…food is pretty great too! I look forward to meeting you and taking steps toward helping you feel better physically as well as emotionally, as I believe they are both connected. Have a great day!
